our Services
Adaptive Riding
This discipline uses mounted and unmounted activities to positively contribute to the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being of individuals with disabilities. These experiences build riders’ life skills and enhance overall quality.
Hippotherapy
This is an intervention in physical, occupational, or speech therapy that utilizes equine movement as a treatment strategy. The treatment addresses impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities in patients with neuromotor and/or sensory dysfunction as part of an integrated program to achieve functional goals.
The motion of the horse’s natural gait closely mimics our own, challenging trunk muscles and balance subconsciously in a fun and rewarding way.
Therapeutic Driving
We are the only program in Vermont to offer certified Adapted Carriage Driving – it opens up the Equine-Assisted Therapy experience to those who cannot or should not participate in mounted activities. It is a fun and challenging skill builder for all
ages incorporating harnessing, horses, safety and driving.”
