ELLIE’S BLOG

Whoa!!! What is this about Grace writing a blog post on our riders at Rhythm of the Rein? Well fiddle dee dee as Scarlett O’Hara would have said! I am MUCH more interesting to read about. I know they nicknamed me the Drama Queen around here, but after all I am one of the head honchos out in the pasture along with Shiloh (we paint/spotted horses have to stick together you know) and when I have something to say I expect everyone to take notice. I have been one of the main horses working at Rhythm of the Rein since my previous teenage owner left me here when she moved on to the next phase of her life. I have really found my niche working with the special people who come here. I might be bossy to the other horses in the herd but I am a born leader and that is what I am supposed to do. I do make sure my human herd here at the farm keep me comfy, but the special riders – I let them do things I wouldn’t normally let folks do because I know they need extra help and patience, and I can tell they really love me. I am so pleased with myself that I confounded everyone by being the best horse ever at Special Olympics. I don’t know why Shiloh and Grace got so attached to me at the last show – they were so concerned when they weren’t right by me all the time (oh wait, it’s that stay with your leader thing I guess) – I didn’t mind center stage taking home all the blue ribbons for my riders. Well Grace and I will just have to have a competition to see who tells the best stories! Stay tuned.
