farmbannerWater Tower Farm, the host site, sits on 70 acres of beautiful Vermont countryside in the Central Vermont town of Marshfield. The farm has been owned and operated by Dick & Dianne Lashoones since 1988. The farm’s namesake reflects the presence of a large water tower that is located on the farm and is part of a local hydroelectrical facility.

f20Water Tower Farm, www.wtr-twr-frm.com, is a full service equestrian center offering public board, lessons, and training. The farm is also the home of the one of the New England’s largest Tennessee Walking Horse operations and offers breeding services for Tennessee Walking Horses. The farm also offers public breeding services for other breeds. The owner’s residence is also on the property and their on-site presence helps provide an almost continuous 24/7 security. The farm even provides its own quarantine facilities for horses shipped to international clients. One of the farm-trained horses became the first European Walking Horse Champion, another the first Tennessee Walker stallion to arrive in Italy. The farm is a true operating farm, even producing it’s own hay.

f21The farm’s facilities include a 70 x 150 outdoor ring, a ¼ mile conditioning track, a 128×60 indoor arena that has a heated viewing room, and has 33 stalls in 2 barns with 2 tack rooms and other amenities. All horses have daily turnouts in large, securely fenced grass turnouts and pastures. The Farm has outdoor trails and water hazards that assist in training trail mounts. The farm’s other clientele are supportive and accommodating to the needs of the therapeutic riding program.

The Farm had been a therapeutic riding site for 8 years before affiliating with Rhythm of the Rein.
